Inspired by one of the most iconic cars of all time, Les Forges MDK has designed an iPhone 5 case as an homage to the DeLorean DMC-12. Most famous for appearing as the time machine in the Back to the Future series, the case features the vehicle’s logo over a texture resembling the DMC-12′s grill. The surrounding case completes the look for a case that goes hand-in-hand with the gull-winged car. Unfortunately, the case is only a concept at the moment and no production plans have been made yet.

There may be a ton of options out there when it comes to iPhone 5 cases, but we can guarantee you that this will be the only with the ability to activate the flux capacitor at 88 miles per hour.
Inspired by the classic DeLorean DMC-12 (made immensely popular by the Back to the Future) franchise, this iPhone case was designed by Les Forges MDK. The case sports an all black backing that was made to look like the grill of the gull-winged automobile we all know and love. The DMC logo has been stamped on it as a nice finishing touch. So where can you get one? Well, you can’t. Another concept we’re hoping becomes a reality at some point in time.

Turn Your iPhone 5 Into a DeLorean
Move over Hoverboard, we’ve found something Back To The Future-related that’s even cooler. The DeLorean DMC-12 is synonymous with the time-travelling trilogy of movies and now we can pay homage to both the car and the film with something that fits in our pockets. The crazy people at Les Forges MDK have created this concept iPhone 5 case that resembles the grill of the vintage sports car. The surround features a chrome-esque finish which is also a direct imitation of the DeLorean’s shiny body.
Unfortunately there are no production details for this product yet but if anything trickles through the space-time continuum then we’ll let you know. In our opinion, this is up there with the prototype for the Instagram Camera by Polaroid as the most eagerly anticipated piece of hipster-tech this year. Now they just need to hurry up and make the damn things. Hey Doc…..

Coming up with ways to style out phones has become a trend. From gold plated designs to diamond crusted custom ones, there are a whole bunch of ways to accessorize a phone. Les Forges MDK created a new case design that pays homage to the Delorean DMC-12, which is noted for playing the part of the futuristic time machine in the Back to the Future movie series from the 80′s.
Even though the case is still in the concept phase, it is almost certain that it will move to production. The all black case resembles the car’s grill with the vehicle logo on it. The outside trim is silver and mirrors the look of the car completely. Check out the perspective designs after the jump.

    DeLorean DMC-12 iPhone Case Concept
Could this DeLorean DMC-12 iPhone case quite possibly be the best iPhone case of all-time? I have to say: MOST DEFINITELY YES.
Remember when everyone was going crazy over Mattel releasing a Hoverboard like you had seen in the ‘Back To The Future’ trilogy, but were then super disappointed when they realized it didn’t work? Yeah, I was one of those people. It sucked so bad, that I have seen them ‘floating’ around on eBay at less than retail in some cases. This however, trumps the Hoverboard 100 times over.
This DeLorean DMC-12 iPhone cover is not only practical in its protection of your phone, but looks amazing at the same time. The problem is, you will probably end up being more careful than ever so you don’t mark the case.
The concept, created by Les Forges MDK, has been created with resemblance to the frill of the vintage sports car, and the surroundings feature a chrome-like finish that looks like the cars shiny body.
What sucks however, is that this is still only just a concept, and there is no word on production details of when this will potentially go into production, or will drop.
Oh well. Much like the Hoverboard that didn’t work, there has to be a letdown somewhere, right?
